Resolutions

The turning of the New Year goes hand-in-hand with resolutions. Each year, we have the opportunity to let go of lifestyle choices that are no longer helping us and embrace lifestyle choices that allow us to have more good days. This sounds easy enough, but anyone who has attempted to achieve a New Year’s resolution knows it’s a challenge. 

As we progress further into the year, it’s common for some of that inspiration and hope to wane. Despite our best efforts, we may find ourselves returning back to our old habits. Once a setback occurs, it can be very tempting to throw in the towel and wait until next year to try again.  

If you’re finding yourself in this situation, I invite you to take a moment to celebrate all the positive changes that you did make. You’re still here, so most likely there are at least several. Setbacks are part of life, but so are fresh starts. 

Life is full of opportunities for a fresh start. Each season is a new season. Each month is a new month. Each week is a new week. Each day is a new day. If we really want to break it down, each breath is a new breath.  If you aren’t happy with the course you’re on, I hope this post provides inspiration to make some changes.
